Therapy for Kids and Teens

You want only what’s best for your child.

Remember when you finally met – and embraced them in your arms for the first time?

It felt like the entire world faded away. Their smile, the twinkle in their eye. Their laughter was the most joyful sound you’d ever heard.

What’s happened?

It’s as if you don’t know them anymore. They seemed to have changed overnight.

Sad, anxious, unable to focus, defiant, insecure… not at all what you’ve hoped for your child. They’re just so difficult to understand – it feels nearly impossible to know how to help, support, or even reach out.

It’s heart-wrenching – you want them to be carefree, enjoy growing up, and be able to navigate whatever comes their way.

As a parent, you know when something isn’t right with your kid, when something is “off.” And it’s painful that they aren’t coming to talk to you so that you can impart all your wisdom on them.

Just ask your kid: you don’t know anything. You were never a kid. You went “Poof!” and suddenly became a parent. You never dealt with peer pressure, and you had a great relationship with your parents. (insert sarcasm here)

Getting help doesn’t mean defeat.

Our staff and clinicians build strong bonds of trust in a safe space where we listen, support, and help your child with their struggles, identify their strengths, and provide them with tools to cope.

While you focus on getting them up in the morning, making sure they’ve cleaned their room, finished their homework, put their phone away at dinner, etc., etc., etc., let us do the rest.

This way, you can enjoy being the parent – without the burden of having to double as their therapist.

Remember – they’re still so young.

This doesn’t have to be the rest of their story. It’s not too late to make a positive impact on their lives. Therapy will be as unique and special as your kid/teen.

By incorporating individual therapy or Neurofeedback as well as a variety of other techniques, we can meet them where they are, in a nonjudgmental, safe, and supportive environment.

Did you say Neurofeedback?

YES!!! Neurofeedback is the coolest thing! We started using the technique when trying to help our kids who were struggling.

Neurofeedback is a technique used to train the brain to create desirable habits or behaviors. Sometimes, the brain runs too fast, or too slow, or it doesn’t communicate well from one side to the other.

Both kids and parents love its simplicity. All you have to do is sit and watch a tv show, and your brain does the rest.

Is your child overwhelmed, anxious, isolated, friendless? Fidgety and having a hard time paying attention in class, experiencing difficulty in falling asleep at night, or troubled by headaches or mood swings that seem to have no origin?

Neurofeedback will help you!

Restore your relationship and offer them the support they need.
