“When an old person dies, it is like a library burned down.”
I first heard this when I was about ten years old, and it made a huge impression on me then. It was the spark that set me on the path to work with older adults.
This passage spoke to me of the incredible and life-affirming strength, wisdom, knowledge, and abilities of our elders and how the whole community suffers when their voices are silenced or forgotten.
Our elders should be celebrated, always. I strive to meet those clients who invite me to join them in their journey with compassion, dignity, and respect.
My experience also allows me to work with adults at any age. I use my skills of working with seniors to help others learn what is really important in life. This brings a different perspective to the therapy experience.
My approach to therapy starts with understanding and support.
These words are not taboo when you are with me: Transitions, Changes, Loss.
I act as a bridge to help you get from where you are to where you would like to be. I bring a friendly, relaxed, nonjudgmental atmosphere, moving at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Give us fun facts about you…
I am the mother of an energetic son and ‘Frozen’- obsessed daughter. Parenting has given me the ability to sing every song from Frozen I and Frozen II while building intricate Lego fortresses that are destined to be destroyed by Godzilla.
I love to laugh and always try to find the humor in life, which can be a tremendous positive when navigating life’s difficulties. To quote Mary Pettibone Poole, “He who laughs, lasts.”
