Live your life and be true to who you are.
As long as I am helping others, I am in gratitude. Knowing that I was able to help others to take a break from the pain they are in and seeing that smile on my client’s face is my passion.
Dignity above all else.
No matter what you are talking about, you will feel comfortable. I am a big personality with compassion and a touch of humor.
You need someone to listen and help navigate the aging process with you? I am your girl.
Going through family issues or multiple losses? I am there in the trenches with you.
I love the work we do together, and I continue to learn just as much from you as you learn from me.
My extensive background makes me the therapist I am today.
I have my master’s degree in Social Work from SUNY Stony Brook. I’ve worked with all age groups from adolescents to seniors. I have worked in adoption, run group homes for teen moms and their children, developed and run a counseling program for local residents.
For the past ten years, I have primarily worked with seniors in assisted living and home care environments. One of my favorite pastimes is decorating the walkers and wheelchairs of my clients for the holidays! I love to pay it forward.
Give us fun facts about you…
I love to shop til I drop. My favorite show of all times is ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ reason being, in the end Dorothy realizes that what really matters is her family.
I am like Dorothy (minus the red shoes). Family is everything to me. I have sons, 21 and 25 years of age, whom I love dearly and who challenge me daily to be my best self.
I also love to watch history shows. I am inspired by watching where we came from and how we got to where we are today. And lastly…, I hate technology as much as you probably do, but won’t say!
